High School Football Player, 14, Killed In Maryland Shooting: Police

A community is mourning after a 14-year-old high school football player from Harford County was shot in the head and died from his injuries.

Jai'den Alexander Winchester has been identified by the Aberdeen Police Department as the person who was found shot shortly before midnight on Saturday night.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Center Deen Avenue on Nov. 2 to investigate a reported shooting, where Winchester was unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head and in cardiac arrest.

First responders rendered aid, but the teen died at the scene of the shooting.

No information about a possible suspect has been released by the police.

The shooting remains under investigation.
